Compact inertial navigation for ROV operations
Zupt’s Halo provides an affordable, easy-to-integrate inertial navigation system (INS) for ROV navigation and positioning. Two heading accuracy configurations allow operators to select the solution for their requirements.
Both configurations are rated for water depths up to 4,000 meters and support tightly integrated subsea positioning inputs.
How Halo Works
Halo combines inertial measurements with data from aiding sensors to provide an integrated navigation solution.
Supported inputs include:
- USBL
- DVL
- LBL
- Depth
Its navigation engine processes inertial data to provide heading, pitch, roll, and heave, alongside the aided inertial positioning solution.
Configuration Options
- Affordable: Heading accuracy of <0.3° secant latitude.
- Precise: Heading accuracy of <0.1° secant latitude.
Both configurations provide a complete subsea INS solution.
Integration and Operational Benefits
- Compact design: Suited to ROV navigation and positioning.
- Straightforward integration: Designed for easy integration with subsea aiding sensors.
- Configuration choice: Two heading accuracy options.
- Flexible aiding inputs: Integrates USBL, DVL, LBL, depth, and other supported sensors.
- Depth capability: Both configurations are rated to 4,000 meters.
