A detailed view of the pipeline and surrounding seabed
Corrosion, anomalies, free spans, and anode depletion are among the conditions assessed during pipeline inspection. Zupt’s inspection technology combines an inertial navigation system with five high-definition cameras to accurately model the visible pipeline and nearby seabed.
Data collection in a single pass
An ROV or AUV collects the data needed as it follows the pipeline in a single pass. The data is used to generate a high-resolution point cloud or mesh model of the surveyed pipeline section, including any potential free spans.
Inspection Deliverables
The pipeline deliverable provides details on:
- Corrosion and anomalies
- Free-span length and depth
- Anode depletion
The resulting pipeline model is scalable and can be integrated with the vehicle’s positioning solution to provide the absolute position of the entire pipeline survey.
