Subsea connectivity where space, speed, and reliability matter
The Zupt Mux provides reliable subsea data transfer in a compact, lightweight package. It works efficiently for both small port requirements and larger configurations, making it cost-effective and space-efficient.
Developed to modernize the survey multiplexor, the Mux combines a network switch with serial and analog ports. Its rugged design is optimized for use on ROVs, subsea structures, and templates.
How the Zupt Mux Works
The Mux transfers data from subsea sensors to the surface through a single fiber-optic cable.
Its user-friendly topside interface removes the need for complex topside units. Only a computer and a 10 Gb Ethernet switch on the surface vessel are required for topside data communication.
Expanding the System
An additional fiber port on the top end cap allows the Mux to be daisy-chained with other Mux units, expanding subsea connectivity. An optional second connector supports daisy-chaining.
Operational Benefits
- Compact installation: Small form factor and low weight suit applications where subsea space is limited.
- Flexible configurations: Works efficiently for minimal port requirements and larger systems.
- Simple topside communication: Requires only a computer and a 10 Gb Ethernet switch for topside data communication.
- Expandable connectivity: Daisy-chain capabilities allow additional Mux units to be connected.
- Web control: Provides a web-controlled interface.
- Protected power outputs: Configurable power options with E-fuse protection.
- Camera options: Low-latency IP cameras are available as an option.
