Zupt Completes 3D Recon V2 SIT Ahead of Subsea Inspection Campaign

Finding an integration issue offshore is a lot more difficult than finding it onshore

Last week, the Zupt team was at the DeepOcean facility conducting System Integration Testing (SIT) for an upcoming subsea inspection campaign in the US Gulf.

During testing, Zupt Offshore Survey Engineer John Rich, pictured here, and other members of the project team worked with 3D Recon V2 installed on a mock-up of the ROV configuration that will be used in the field, allowing the system and ROV integration to be tested before mobilization.

The SIT was completed successfully, giving the team the opportunity to identify and address any integration issues onshore before the equipment heads offshore.
