Deployment of Long Baseline (LBL) transponder arrays can consume a large percentage of the time required for a subsea marine construction survey. This time is a major operational expense for the end client. Zupt’s C-PINS inertial navigation solution works along with industry standard transponders and ROV mounted transceivers to significantly increase productivity with significant reductions in deployment time and to reduce the number of transponders required.

The C-PINS optimally works with just two LBL transponders in range, and only needs updates from these transponders once every five seconds to reliably deliver the same precise navigational data as a large LBL array. Zupt provides the equipment and personnel as part of our customers’ survey operations, working within their existing teams to add these capabilities to their overall offerings.
